3 Simple Ways to Include Skagit Valley in Your Estate Planning:

1. Bequest Gifts – Sample Language for Wills and Trusts:
“I give to Skagit Valley Pregnancy Care Center all (or a specific percentage) of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate (or the sum of $___) to be used in furtherance of its general purposes (or designated for a specific program). If this program no longer exists at the time of my death, Skagit Valley Pregnancy Care Center may direct the funds to a similar initiative.”

If your will is already in place, you can add a charitable gift with a simple amendment called a codicil.

2. Beneficiary Designations:
To designate us as a full or partial beneficiary of your IRA, 401(K), annuity, or life insurance policy, request a beneficiary designation form from your plan administrator.

Our legal name is Pregnancy Choices of Skagit County DBA Skagit Valley Pregnancy Care Center
Tax ID #: 943124655.

3. IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions:
If you are 70½ or older, you may contribute up to $100,000 per year directly from your IRA to qualified 501(c)(3) charities. This transfer does not generate taxable income or a tax deduction, allowing you to benefit even if you don’t itemize. It can also satisfy your required minimum distribution. Couples may each contribute up to $100,000 from their own IRA accounts.

We have a sample letter you can use to request a Qualified Charitable Distribution from your IRA. Contact us at info@skagitpregnancycare.org or (360) 428-4777 to get started.
