Pregnancy Testing
If you think you may be pregnant, a pregnancy test can bring much needed peace-of-mind. A missed period is the most common indication, but it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re pregnant.
Home pregnancy tests can also be an indicator of pregnancy, but not a confirmation. Skagit Valley Pregnancy Care Center offers free pregnancy testing by appointment or walk-in. Our
medical staff will provide you real-time results and if you’re pregnant, they can help you make a plan and/or schedule a free Limited Obstetric Ultrasound.
Pregnancy Options Education
When facing unexpected pregnancy, it’s critical to know all the facts and options. Our Patient Advocate and medical team will provide you with education-based, medically-founded information on your specific pregnancy. To ensure you can make an informed decision, we welcome any questions you may have about pregnancy, abortion risks and procedures, adoption, and parenting. We can also provide you with materials to help in your decision making process.
STI/STD Testing
Sexually transmitted diseases or infections are passed from person to person through intimate physical contact. STI/STDs can cause symptoms, but testing can help you know for sure. It is important to be tested if you are sexually active. Our medical staff can test for:
o Chlamydia
o Gonorrhea
o HIV
o Syphilis
o Hepatitis B
o Hepatitis C
o Trichomoniasis
Skagit Valley Pregnancy Care Center offers STI/STD testing confidentially and at no cost by appointment or walk-in.
Well-Woman Exams
Skagit Valley Pregnancy Care Center offers a head-to-toe wellness exam. This assessment will include height and weight measurement, blood pressure check, breathing, heart exam, mobility evaluation and pelvic exam and/or pap smear (these exams are important as they can catch early signs of cancer and other health problems). These exams are free and confidential and available on select Tuesdays.
Limited Obstetric Ultrasound
Once we have confirmed a pregnancy, we can schedule a free Limited Obstetric Ultrasound to determine cardiac activity and estimated due date. Limited Obstetric Ultrasounds are performed by our trained Health Care Professionals and reviewed by our Licensed Health Care Provider. Limited Obstetric Ultrasounds are limited to gestational age, location in the uterus and determining the visualized cardiac activity of the pregnancy, which is important to empower the woman in her decision-making process. Ultrasounds are scheduled BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
