Volunteer Opportunites
Skagit Valley Pregnancy Care Center has opportunities to serve up-front and behind-the scenes. As a non-profit organization, we love and appreciate our volunteers as they join us in serving the mission.
Opportunities to Serve
Volunteer Nurse (RN, ARNP)
As a volunteer nurse, you’ll serve our patients by conducting pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, STI/STD tests and exams. Medical certification required. Commitment: as available
Patient Advocate (LPN)
As a volunteer Patient Advocate, you’ll serve our patients by conducting pregnancy tests and helping our patients navigate their healthcare decisions from an informed and holistic perspective. Medical certification required. Commitment: as available
Receptionist
As a volunteer receptionist, you are the first point of contact when someone arrives at Skagit Valley Pregnancy Care Center. You’ll help with the day-to-day duties of greeting and offering hospitality to clients/patients, answering phones, scheduling patients, and helping with basic administrative business. Commitment: 4 hours once a week
Mentor
As a Thriving Heart mentor, you’ll support the parenting journey of a new mother or father through an on-going relationship using our parenting and life skills curriculum. Commitment: 1hour sessions
Newsletter Team
Every month, we produce, print and mail 800+ newsletters to send to donors, churches, community partners, patients and clients. As part of our newsletter volunteer team, you’ll help us prepare our newsletters for mailing. Commitment: once a month
Boutique Team
Our Thriving Heart program supports the material needs of families through our Boutique, which offers infant clothing, a food pantry, home needs and toiletries at no cost to those who shop. Boutique volunteers sort, fold, and stock in-coming donations. Commitment: as available
Board Member
Skagit Valley Pregnancy Care Center is overseen by a Board of Directors. Volunteer board member must be solid in their Christian faith, a pro-life advocate, connected to the community, and committed to a two-year term. Commitment; board meetings once a month and a two-year commitment.
Donations
Clients who are active in our Thriving Heart program earn credits by completing lessons and meeting with their mentor. These credits are used to shop in our Boutique for baby clothing, care necessities, and equipment. Our Boutique is stocked by donations.
